What is Button Builder?
Button Builder is a feature in the PBX portal that allows users to configure their desk phone buttons. With Button Builder, phone features such as Speed Dial, BLF, and Park can be setup with ease. This article depicts an example of the user interface when provisioning a Yealink T46U but the process can be followed for any supported IP phone.
Where can I find Button Builder?
From the user Dashboard, click on the Phone Hardware tab
Identify the Desk Phone
Click on the gear icon labeled Button Builder adjacent to the desk phone on the list.
Click Yes to Edit button Configuration.
After clicking in the line that you would like to configure, click on Select a Feature.
Options:
User (BLF): Allows you to see when the assigned end user's extension is in use by displaying a clear status on the phone's display.
Speed Dial: Allows you to reach the assigned individual without having to dial the phone number.
Disregard Line Appearance, Shared Line Appearance, Call Park, DTMF, Queue Toggle, and Timeframe Toggle. If you would like to know about these options, please contact our support department at (530) ONE-STOP.
EXAMPLES OF CONFIGURED BUTTONS
USER (BLF) Example
a. The button on the phone that will display the configuration.
b. The selected feature.
c. The extension of the individual within your organization.
d. A custom label to be displayed on the button of the phone such as a department name or person's nickname.
SPEED DIAL Example
a. The button on the phone that will display the configuration.
b. The selected feature.
c. The phone number of the individual you'd like to speed dial.
d. A custom label to be displayed on the button of the phone that identifies the individual.
Once all desired buttons have been configured, click save.
